Workplace Wellness: The burden of responsibility felt by HR.

As an ex Chief People Officer, I understand the crucial part HR plays in shaping the culture of our workplaces, particularly when it comes to promoting wellness and how that can feel at times like an overwhelming sense of responsibility. In today’s fast-paced environment, the mental health of employees has never been more in the spotlight and more critical. While many organisations recognise the importance of workplace wellness, the real challenge lies in what can employers really do to help as mental health, and the support required, across multiple individuals varies vastly, flexes and changes all the time. 



One key approach is to ensure that resources for ongoing support are readily available to employees such as EAP programmes, however many EAP programmes centre around talking therapy, what about if talking doesn’t work for that individual?



Speaking from experience, talking therapy just does not work for me. Instead I found energy work. 



Often still ridiculed, especially in the Corporate world I am here to bridge the gap. Whilst not everything can be explained I seek to remove much of the woo woo and bring education on energy work including our brain, our nervous systems and how it all works (well as much as we understand) to individuals in one on one or group sessions, the goal is education and longer term sustained management from the individual to identify their own coping methods and what resonates with them to recognise and manage their peaks and troughs of mental health.



Employers and employees can choose from a list of talks and therapies including Reiki, breathwork, chanting, kundalini yoga and sound healing.
